Last November, Sydney was one of the winners of the Beausejour and Area Chamber of Commerce Dragon's Den contest. She purchased a new embroidery machine with her winnings and promised to donate $1 from the sale of each blanket in 2016 to the Brokenhead-Beausejour Pioneer Village Museum. So far she has donated $150 with more to come! Sydney continues to donate to Manitoba pet shelters with total donations reaching beyond $1500.

On June 23, Sydney, along with her family, friends, teachers, the Mayor of Beausejour and local media opened her new "Kozy Kritters by Sydney" work space. She now has everything she needs to make her handmade "Kozys" for pets and babies!
